I’m a cookbook-reading, cookie-baking, Thomas Keller-admiring, often-talking recipe collector, and on good days a writer (and maybe a cook.) I’ve been over-eating all over the world, using a food blog as a reason to go out for every meal. The past few years have taken me from Idaho to Indonesia to Florida to Vancouver BC and back to Idaho—a love of fried noodles, Cuban black beans, avocados, sushi, and taco trucks picked up along the way.

Once upon a time I wanted to be a chef, but some kitchen time killed that right quick and I’ve found my true home on the other side of the swinging door, hungrily eating and excitedly writing. I love to cook in my very own kitchen, love to dig through my million bookmarked recipes and plot the perfect meal, love to sprawl out making a huge mess, love to make and share and eat good food. Food is central to our lives, food gives us connections to each other, to the world, to warmth and contentment and love. Food is love. I love food.
